2024 INEOS Grenadier Audio Upgrade

The new INEOS Grenadier is a sight to behold. With styling clearly reminiscent of a classic Defender, its a nice refresh to a classic look. With all of the options and accessories that are available for these trucks they are extremely lacking, even with the factory "premium" package, in the audio department; as such this client was looking for a simple audio upgrade.

The front stage was upgraded with Focal's Access 2-way system, adding some separate tweeters higher in the door card - despite the size of these vehicles there's not much room without more involved modification / additions.

The front doors were treated with Focal B.A.M. tri-layer sound damping material on the outer door skins and Second Skin sound treatment on the inner door skins and door panels.

Next we fabricated an enclosure to house a Focal 8" FLAX EVO shallow subwoofer to mount under the driver seat. This was made to look as factory as possible but provide better bass response than the factory JBL "add-a-sub" could.

The front speakers and subwoofer were all processed and powered through the Mosconi PICO 4|8 DSP which is an 8-channel DSP with built-in 4-channel amplifier (the rear channels are bridged for the subwoofer). Although this is a small upgrade in the grand scheme of things, the different in quality and output was immediately realized.
